JUDR. JAN ZAK

Jan Zak is a founder and partner of the law firm ZAK Legal. Before establishing ZAK Legal he was employed at a law firm in Prague with focus on criminal defence. Since 1998 Zak has practiced litigation, particularly in the areas of criminal and civil law, executions, commercial registry and insolvency. After his appoinment in 2001 as a judge , Zak specialized in commercial law while also trying and adjucating disputes arising from civil, family and labour law as a presiding judge of a District Court in Prague.
Zak graduated (summa cum laude) from the Faculty of Law of the Charles University in Prague in 1998. In 2000 he was awarded a doctorate in the law of civil proceeding at the same faculty.
He is registered with the Czech Bar Association as an attorney and speaks fluent English.

MGR. JAN NOVOTNY
Jan Novotny has worked with ZAK Legal since 2006.
Novotny primarily specializes in the public procurement law and the law of competition, real estate law, international business law and litigation. He has provided legal counselling related to official review of significant procurment proceedings and regarding a number of major international business deals.
Novotny graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Masaryk University in Brno in 2006.
He is registered with the Czech Bar Association as an attorney and speaks fluent English.
MGR. PETR RACKO
Petr Racko has worked with ZAK Legal since 2011.
In his practice he applies himself particularly to litigation, debt recovery and corporate law, as well as unfair competition and industrial property law, with focus on trademarks. Racko participated in projects on change of legal form of business companies and representation in court and administrative proceedings in the area of protection of industrial property rights.
Racko graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Charles University in Prague in 2010.
He is registered as an attorney with the Czech Bar Association and speaks English.
